President’s Message

Hello, everyone, and Happy Spring!

I cannot believe my year as President is already winding down. I’ve been very honored to serve in this capacity during the celebration of NACM’s 40th anniversary. But this message is not about me; I want to recognize the collective strength and dedication that define our association. We have several committees that assist the Board of Directors in moving the organization forward. The committees are as follows:

Communications: Serves as NACM’s hub for communicating and educating our members. It includes subcommittees on social media and the NACM website.

Conference Development: Plans and carries out our action-packed conferences by identifying speakers, vendors, and social events.

CORE®: NACM’s original curriculum helps to promote interests and further the education of court management professionals.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Recognizes that the strength of our courts and organization comes from the diversity of its people.

Governance: This committee maintains NACM’s bylaws, strategic plan, and NACM’s national agenda.

Membership: NACM values its members. This committee helps find ways to build better connections throughout our profession. Subcommittees focus on Early Career Professionals and International Courts, and one subcommittee works in conjunction with State Court Associations around the nation.

If you have served on any of these committees, thank you! The Board and I know what it takes, the dedication of time and energy, and we want to recognize your efforts as they have made a difference in shaping the future of our organization. Commitment to the National Association for Court Management is essential in driving meaningful progress in our field, ensuring that courts operate efficiently, fairly, and with the highest standards of service.

Now, more than ever, we have an opportunity to turn inspiration into action. Whether through collaborative discussions, innovative ideas, or active participation, your contributions shape the future of court management. Our shared mission thrives because of the expertise, insights, and engagement of members like you.

I encourage you to take the next step—whether that means volunteering for a committee, attending upcoming events, or sharing your knowledge with fellow members. More importantly, we have open positions on our Board of Directors. Nominations and declarations will be accepted until June 6. Please consider volunteering in any capacity. Each effort strengthens our impact and enhances the resources we provide to our profession.

This year marks NACM’s 40th anniversary. We are excited to gather in Omaha, Nebraska, in July to commemorate this milestone! Let’s continue to make this year one of growth, leadership, and progress. Thank you for all you do to support this association and the essential work of our courts.

Looking forward to the great achievements ahead—See you in Omaha!
